I mentioned on Facebook how I’d switched from operating systems from Xandros to Eeebuntu on my EeePC 1000 last weekend, and a friend asked, “How are eeepcs? I have never really thought of using one…I would always watch too many movies on my old laptop to really want anything smaller.” So I answered, giving probably way more info than was necessary. I got my Eeepc 8G February 28th, and immediately christened it “9″ (like “Section 9″ from Ghost in the Shell) and cranked it up to see what it could do. I’ve got it bad, bad, bad, bad, baaaad. The craze hasn’t been this bad since I wanted an ipod more than three years ago. I suppose it’s a good thing this particular illness only strikes every few years. I wouldn’t be able to afford it otherwise.
