I’ve had my Livejournal account since 2001, and been a paid member since July, 2001. Tabard @ lj has seen both very active and very inactive periods. It has also seen me through some of the most miserable times I can remember. Those were the days when I gladly shelled out $25 a year — a pittance, really, weighed against the benefits I received in both services rendered and the connections with friends I was able to build through the lj community. I’d like to say I have huge plans for this place, but honestly, I’m just trying to kick-start myself again, more than anything. I’ve been on Livejournal so long, that switching over to blogging on my website has been kind of a daunting prospect. It’s taken me a while to realize that if I didn’t just start writing, that I’d never make the change.
